 Deception in politics

The point of democracy is to have a leader who wants to support the policies you agree with. If this politician deceives in order to get elected, they are undermining the point of democracy.

Politicians attack each other- fallacies 

Make baseless claims that are easily refuted

Saying things that are not technically false and insinuating a connection to something else

Pulling remarks out of context

Affirm a view that lacks evidence
