Week 11, Post 3

This weeks learning was helpful to me personally because I was not really aware of fact-checking sites. It gives me hope that our society is not completely ruled by deception. I was aware of fallacies and how many of them work and it is exciting to know that that knowledge will actually be useful in the real world and not just something random I learned in school.

In today's world, people just like to be mad, and many people like to stick with their opinions and do not look at the facts. I honestly think these sources are only good if people use them. It's cliche to say you want to change the world, but I still will. I think that the only way our society can become a better place is to lessen the deception. Awareness of deception in places where people wouldn't generally notice it (or want to notice it) is a very important idea that I think should be spread.
