Week 8, Post 3

     This week's learning was insightful to how businesses market and advertise to gain or keep control over a market. It showed more in-depth specifically how larger businesses attract attention to their product and the actual psychological strategies that they utilize to draw in customers. The utilizing of our subconscious was very interesting and showed just how deeply they want to influence us.

    I think that based on this I can say that the world runs on money and influence, and deception is the fuel. I think that studying deception in the news next would be beneficial just to look at how information that we expect to be true and reliable can be deceiving, and possibly how the people who run it are manipulating it for their own personal gain or money and influence.

  1. Are there exceptions to the deception used in advertising? Any companies just using their quality product on its own?
